Baptism

We believe baptism is a very important early step in the life of a believer. At the Bridge, we encourage all new followers of Christ to do just that... follow His example in baptism as soon as possible as a way not only to be obedient to the commands of Jesus, but to identify with His death, burial, and resurrection as we walk into a new life as a disciple of Jesus. (Colossians 2:12, Romans  6:4)

In line with the examples we see in the Bible of Jesus and others, we baptize by full immersion. We firmly believe this to be the Biblical view of baptism, and the practice of the early church. (Matthew 3:16, Acts 8:38-39) We also invite parents and loved ones who have been instrumental in winning someone to Christ to join us in the Baptism experience. While it isn’t required for those wanting to be baptized to openly share their testimony with the church, we strongly encourage it and would love to capture it on video!
